Dan Burton

Chief Executive Officer

Dan Burton serves as CEO of Health Catalyst, a healthcare data warehousing and analytics company. He became involved with Health Catalyst when it was a three-person startup. Mr. Burton is also the co-founder of HB Ventures, the first outside equity holder in Health Catalyst. Prior to Health Catalyst and HB Ventures, Mr. Burton led the Corporate Strategy Group at Micron Technology (NASDAQ: MU). He also spent eight years with Hewlett-Packard (NYSE: HPQ) in strategy and marketing management roles. Before joining HP he was an associate consultant with the Boston Consulting Group, where he advised healthcare systems and technology companies. Mr. Burton holds an MBA with high distinction from Harvard University, where he was elected a George F. Baker Scholar, and a BS in economics, magna cum laude, from BYU.

Christina Chang

Senior Vice President, Growth Go-To-Market Strategy

Christina Chang serves as SVP of Growth GTM Strategy at Health Catalyst. She brings 14+ years of experience growing products and customers for seed-stage startups through fortune 500 companies. Most recently, she led B2B product marketing and go-to-market teams at Adobe, Lyra Health, and HP. She also spent five years as a Manager in Accenture’s consulting practice. Christina holds Bachelor’s degrees with Distinction in Economics and English from Stanford University as well as an MBA from Harvard Business School.

Diane DiMusto

Senior Vice President, Growth Analytics & Strategy

Mike Doyle

TJ Elbert

Senior Vice President and General Manager, Data

TJ Elbert joined Health Catalyst in January 2019 and serves as the SVP and General Manager of Data. Mr. Elbert brings over 15 years of healthcare information technology, data warehousing, and analytics experience to Health Catalyst. He came to Health Catalyst from Northwestern Medicine where he held a number of leadership roles in data warehousing and population health. Prior to Northwestern he worked as an Integration Architect at Cerner Corporation where he led a number of large health system EMR implementations and services engagements. Mr. Elbert graduated from the University of Iowa with a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering. He will complete his MBA and Master of Science in Business Analytics from the University of Iowa in December 2021.

Leslie Falk

Senior Vice President, Value Architect

Dr. Leslie Hough Falk is a senior vice president and a member of the Health Catalyst leadership team. She holds a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from Boise State University, and an MBA and a BS in Engineering from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. She is also certified as a Project Management Professional (PMP), Green Belt Lean, and Information Privacy Professional (CIPP, CIPP/IT). Dr. Falk has a varied professional background from bedside pediatric critical care, nursing administration, medical product research & development, and education in hospital and industry settings, nursing informatics, biomedical engineering, and marketing.

Kevin Freeman

Chief Revenue Officer

Kevin Freeman serves as the Chief Revenue Officer at Health Catalyst. He came to Health Catalyst as a part of the Vitalware acquisition, bringing 15+ years of Healthcare IT sales leadership experience including publicly traded, private equity, and venture capital-backed companies. Kevin has a successful track record of building results-driven sales teams and driving business development growth.

Bryan Hinton

Chief Technology Officer

Paul Horstmeier

Chief Operating Officer

Mr. Horstmeier brings 25 years of Fortune 500 and small business operations and general management experience to Health Catalyst. He co-founded HB Ventures and filled senior executive roles at HB Ventures portfolio companies. Within Hewlett-Packard, Mr. Horstmeier launched and grew three different businesses, including co-founding HP’s commercial e-commerce business which later expanded to include the management of the data systems and infrastructure for marketing operations across the company. As Vice President of HP.com, Paul headed up a 700-person organization which was awarded nearly every industry award for quality and innovation during his tenure.

Mr. Horstmeier holds an MBA and a BS in Computer Science from BYU.

Bryan Hunt

Chief Financial Officer

Bryan Hunt joined Health Catalyst in April 2014 and currently serves as the Chief Financial Officer. Prior to coming to Health Catalyst, Bryan worked for Deloitte Corporate Finance as a Senior Associate in the investment banking group. At Deloitte, Bryan provided strategic advisory and M&A advisory services to companies in healthcare and other industries. Bryan began his career as an investment banking analyst with Moelis & Company. He graduated cum laude from Brigham Young University with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.

Jason Jones

Chief Analytics and Data Science Officer, General Manager, Data and Analytics Platform

Linda Llewelyn

Linda Llewelyn is the Chief People Officer at Health Catalyst. Linda joined Health Catalyst in June 2013 as the HR Manager. Prior to joining Health Catalyst, she worked in several industries, including medical technology, health care, and financial services in various HR leadership capacities. Linda has a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from the University of Utah.

Sadiqa Mahmood, DDS, MPH

General Manager & Senior Vice President, Life Sciences Business

Patrick Nelli

President

Patrick Nelli joined Health Catalyst in 2013. At Health Catalyst, Patrick helped build the company’s internal business operations group, including the analytics infrastructure and processes. He also helped build Health Catalyst’s CAFÉ Product Line, which aims to be a national repository of healthcare data from Health Catalyst customers’ EDWs and third-party data sources that enables benchmarking and uniquely powerful machine learning algorithms to help health systems efficiently prioritize areas for improvement. Prior to coming to Health Catalyst, Patrick was in the healthcare group at GTCR, a Chicago-based private equity firm, and in the healthcare group at McColl Partners, a boutique investment bank. He has a degree in Physics with a Concentration in Biophysics and Biochemistry from Wake Forest University.

Dan Orenstein

General Counsel

Dan Orenstein is the General Counsel and Secretary of the Board, with responsibility for all aspects of legal and regulatory affairs at Health Catalyst. Orenstein has nearly two decades of private practice and in-house legal and executive experience in healthcare and information technology. For the 10 years prior to joining Health Catalyst, Orenstein worked at athenahealth, Inc. (NASDAQ: ATHN), a publicly traded healthcare IT company and pioneer in results-oriented, cloud-enabled services, serving as General Counsel during his last 7 years with athenahealth. At athenahealth, Orenstein helped to steer the company through a period of rapid and sustained growth, including supporting the company’s 2007 IPO, standardizing and scaling the company’s revenue contracting processes, and advising on service design to ensure compliance with health regulations. Prior to joining athenahealth, Orenstein practiced in the areas of corporate, intellectual property, and healthcare law with law firms in Boston and Washington, D.C. He has written and presented on a number of topics involving healthcare law and technology, and has served in a leadership role with the American Health Lawyers Association. Orenstein received his bachelor’s degree from Columbia University and his law degree from the Georgetown University Law Center.

Matt Revis

Chief Operating Officer, Twistle

Matt Revis leads the Twistle business at Health Catalyst, having joined while serving as Twistle’s President and COO prior to the acquisition in July of 2021. Matt brings over 20 years of experience in various General Manager and Product leadership roles in technology.

Matt got his start in healthcare while leading the Dragon NaturallySpeaking product line at Nuance Communications, helping to build the company’s healthcare strategy through a mix of product innovation, M&A and strategic partnership development. Matt also spent 7 years leading Nuance’s mobile handset business with a focus on NLU/AI based conversational interfaces. Matt led Product at Jibo, a social robotics startup in Boston, before joining Twistle in 2019.

Matt has a BA in English and American Literature from Brandeis University and an MBA from Columbia Business School.

Holly Rimmasch

Chief Clinical Officer, Senior Vice President and General Manager, Clinical Quality Analytics

Holly Rimmasch serves as the Chief Clinical Officer and SVP & GM, Clinical Quality Business Unit at Health Catalyst. She brings more than three decades of healthcare experience to her role, ranging from direct patient care to clinical and operational healthcare strategy and management. Key areas of accountability include clinical improvement, patient safety, quality, and population health.

Britney Rosenau

Chief Analytics Officer, Allina Health

Britney Rosenau has dedicated her career to improving the way health systems use data and insights to deliver the care patients and communities deserve. She currently serves as the Chief Analytics Officer for Allina Health as a part of a significant partnership between Health Catalyst and Allina Health. Prior to this role Britney led Engagement Management for Health Catalyst where she helped define and operationalize a support model for client delivery. Other career experiences focused on analytics for health care improvement including Research, Quality, Regulatory and Improvement roles.

Her education is from the University of Minnesota where she graduated with a Master’s in Public Health. Minnesotan born and raised Britney spends much of her free time with family and two beautiful rescue dogs ‘Up North’.

Dave Ross

Associate Chief Technology Officer

Dave Ross joined Health Catalyst in 2021 and currently serves as Associate Chief Technology Officer. Dave was the Chief Technology Officer and Co-Founder of Twistle, leading all product development and engineering activities for over ten years prior to Twistle being acquired by Health Catalyst. Before starting Twistle, Dave was Director of Information Systems at Albany Medical Center in New York.

Dave is a software engineer at heart. For over twenty years, has built and led software development initiatives across healthcare and educational technology sectors. He is passionate about finding the perfect intersection between engineering excellence and delivering business value. Innovation has always been a central theme of Dave’s work, and he encourages team members to look for novel ways to continuously raise the bar and unlock hidden potential. Dave holds a BS in Information Systems from SUNY Empire State College.

Kyle Salyers

Senior Vice President, Corporate Development

Kyle Salyers joined Health Catalyst in August, 2014 as a Senior Vice President. Prior to joining Health Catalyst, he was a Co-Founder and the Managing Director of CHV Capital, a venture capital affiliate of Indiana University Health. In addition to Health Catalyst, Kyle led CHV/ Indiana University Health’s investments in a range of healthcare IT and medical device companies, including MedVentive (acquired by McKesson), MindFrame (acquired by Covidien), Perfect Serve, NICO, NeoChord, Par8o, and Celleration. Prior to CHV Capital, he served in a number of leadership positions across government, academia, and in entrepreneurial companies, including as a Special Advisor to the President of Indiana University & Executive Director for Advancing Indiana, Investment Director & Innovation Fellow at Rose-Hulman Ventures and the Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology, Senior Vice President of Thomas P. Miller and Associates, Vice President of the Indiana Technology Partnership, and Economic Development Manager for the City of Indianapolis, Mayor Stephen Goldsmith.

Jeff Selander

Senior Vice President and General Manager, Global Expansion Business

Jeff Selander currently serves as Senior Vice President and General Manager, Global Expansion Business with focus on the employer and Asia Pacific markets. Prior to this Jeff served as the Chief People Officer and Chief Financial Officer for Health Catalyst. Prior to joining Health Catalyst, Mr. Selander was CFO at HB Ventures, a private equity firm in Boise, Idaho. Health Catalyst was Jeff’s fifth start-up as a venture finance professional, and his third as CFO. During his career, Jeff has assisted CEO’s in raising over $250 million in debt and equity from institutional investors. Before joining HB Ventures, Jeff was the CFO for Great Basin Scientific, a pre-revenue life sciences start-up. Previous to Great Basin, Jeff played several senior finance roles for iBAHN Corp., a venture-backed high-speed Internet provider to the hospitality industry. Mr. Selander holds an MBA from the F.W. Olin Graduate School of Business at Babson College, Boston, Massachusetts and a BA in international relations from BYU.

Trudy Sullivan

Chief Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Officer

Sullivan leads Communications and Diversity & Inclusion efforts as a Health Catalyst leadership team member. She holds a Masters in Business Administration from Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, and a BA in History from the University of Portland, Oregon. Sullivan brings experience in B2B, B2C + B2G environments, from innovative high tech companies, including biomedical, semiconductor and aerospace & defense. She spent more than a decade in healthcare, including serving more than one hundred Pacific Northwest hospital customers, as CEO of an American Red Cross blood services region. Sullivan’s functional experience includes Operations Management; Human Resources; Marketing; Business Development; Strategy; M & A; Investor, Government + Community Relations; and Brand Development.

Jill Terry

Chief Learning Officer

Jill Terry is the Chief Learning Officer at Health Catalyst and a member of the executive leadership team. She joined Health Catalyst University in May 2014 as an instructional designer and program manager for the Accelerated Practices Program. Prior to joining Health Catalyst, Jill served in various educational roles at Intermountain Healthcare, consulting with clinical and nonclinical subject matter experts to design and develop learning experiences. Jill is a strong education strategist with a degree in psychology and a focus on the cognitive processes involved in learning and motivation. In her current role, she is responsible for aligning the learning strategy with the vision and overall goals of the organization. She also oversees Health Catalyst University operations and educational offerings for team members and clients.

Dan Unger

Senior Vice President and General Manager, Financial Transformation Business

Dan Unger joined Health Catalyst in April 2014 and serves as the SVP and General Manager of Financial Transformation Business. He came to Health Catalyst after working at R1 RCM where he managed a consulting team that worked with large health systems to improve revenue cycle processes and reduce costs through analytics and operational improvements. Prior to R1, Dan worked as a consultant at Equation Consulting, a physician economics consulting firm, and as a pricing and profitability analyst at JP Morgan Chase. He graduated from the University of Arizona with degrees in Finance and Entrepreneurship and received his MBA in International Finance from the Thunderbird School of Global Management.
